When trying to determine what type of processes to use when creating a ‘just in time’ manufacturing facility, I keep running across Kanban and SCRUM as options. While most articles seem to indicate that they are different, the goals and many of the steps seem to be very similar (or even the same). So, how exactly are these two options different? Which one is better or more effective? Or does it even make a difference which one a company chooses to implement? I would like to make sure we choose the right one before moving forward so that we don’t end up having to back one process out and change in the weeks or months ahead.
